My Sacred Birthday Pilgrimage to Mount Shasta

The Calling

I first became fascinated by Mount Shasta while channeling a course on Ascended Masters.

One of the Ascended Masters is Saint Germain, who has been seen around Mount Shasta in his spiritual form—also known as light body—as well as through synchronicities, books, and dream visitations.

Mount Shasta began to call me strongly two years ago. I knew I would have an incredible experience, and I was willing to wait for the right timing and the right companion to go to that mountain.

Last week, that dream trip took place.

The Surprise Revelation

My beloved soul companion Rob surprised me with a four-day trip to Mount Shasta as my birthday gift for my 45th birthday. He kept it as a surprise, and I asked him not to tell me until a day before we left.

I only had one evening to pack, as I taught a Mystery School session before learning where I was going for the trip.

The Pilgrimage Begins

Like any mountain initiation, it is a pilgrimage just to get there. Even though Mount Shasta is in Northern California—here in the same country where I live, the United States—it requires effort and energy to reach. It took us pretty much an entire day of travel.

We flew from San Diego to Sacramento, then took a rental car. We stopped for lunch at a place called Satori Sushi—which was so synchronistic!

Then we drove three hours to Mount Shasta. We stopped at the small town of Redding to get our snacks and supplies and the kombucha I was craving.

When we arrived at Mount Shasta, we were greeted by the most beautiful sunset.

Day One: Sacred Encounters in the Forest

The next day, we were ready to experience the beauty of this magical forest. We began with a very short hike called Bunny Trail. Since we were there at the auspicious portal of 8/8 Lions Gate, it was no surprise that we ran into a group of ecstatic shamanic drummers—women and men who were moving rhythmically under the beat of the drums, invoking the presence of the spirits of the mountain.

After that, we went to another beautiful trail called Panther Meadow. This felt so Lemurian—the most beautiful land with butterflies everywhere, wildflowers, and little creeks.

I felt an impulse to take my shoes off when we sat down by the creek and feel the earth with my bare feet. I was surprised by how soft the earth was there—even the tiny little rocks felt soft.

I made my offerings with flower petals that we brought from home, speaking to the spirit of the water creek and asking them to receive these flower petals as a symbol of respect, honoring, and gratitude for welcoming us there.

My beloved and I had the most wonderful picnic under a tree where we ate and shared sweet moments of just holding each other tenderly and marveling at the beauty of nature.

Since this was the middle of summer, it was very hot in August. The hiking wore us out, so we were ready to come back to the hotel and regroup for a little siesta. There are many wonderful healthy restaurants—we chose Thai food for the evening. Even though the restaurant was very busy, we enjoyed the time waiting for our food to share our insights and conversations.

Day Two: Fairy Falls and Sacred Sound

The next day, we hiked to Fairy Falls—a really beautiful, sweet hike that gave us exercise for our bodies. The hike was quite steep, and by the time we got to the waterfalls, it was a really sweet experience of making offerings to the waterfalls and sharing moments of being and presence.

So much of my experience of Shasta was simply enjoying presence—no thinking, not much talking either. Simply being and breathing fresh prana. The air is dry, the altitude is felt. I am grateful I practice breathwork every single day to make my lungs stronger. It was definitely worth it.

After we came back from Fairy Falls, we decided to stroll around the town, which is filled with mystical shops and really so much to explore. We found a local artist who was hosting a sound healing and channeling Lemurian spirit guides. Of course, we said yes. Rob booked our sound healing, and we came at 7 PM.

The Lemurian Transmission

It was an exquisite experience with a woman guiding us, using a native flute—a big-sized flute-like instrument—to channel mountain sounds, as well as singing with her angelic voice. She was bringing sound transmissions.

I felt the presence of my own Lemurian guides, who were hovering above me as golden beings, showering me with their light and love. At the very end, after I held a prayer and intention to receive guidance on what I'm ready to receive for the next phase of my life and life direction, I received a whole download—a packet of guidance that was inspiring for me to receive.

After the sound healing, we went to an Indian restaurant that served the best Indian food I've ever had—the most wonderful home-style meal. We were tired, so we had an early night.

Day Three: Into the Belly of the Mountain

On our last day, we had the most unique experience. We started by driving half an hour away from Mount Shasta to Pluto Cave—a very unique lava tube that goes for miles long. It formed from an eruption of Mount Shasta in the 1800s.

It was a very unique experience to be in the belly of the mountain and feel that energy of cool, wet earth surrounding you, hugging you like the grandmother she is. After we made offerings and prayers and greeted the spirits there, marveling at the uniqueness of the caves, we drove a whole hour to Burney Falls.

The Ancient Water Temple

That was the jewel of our experience. The waterfall is gigantic and was a revered ceremonial site for indigenous people for thousands of years.

I marveled at the thought that this was a nature temple where people would gather, make offerings, and celebrate special occasions to cultivate an alive relationship with the spirit of the waterfall.

The waterfall itself looked to me like an ancient grandfather—or maybe grandmother, or maybe like a family of water spirits with beautiful watery eyes and smiles. There is a friendly, loving energy emanating from it.

Integration and Transmission

I could write more and more pages about this incredible trip. I'm still integrating the gifts, blessings, and expansion of consciousness I received there.

When I returned home, I had so many things to attend to—to prepare for Mystery School, to respond to emails from clients. But writing this blog felt like a top priority, so I could capture the essence and beauty of this place. This is why I've decided to dedicate time to sharing my Shasta adventures through this blog and email.

Because Lemuria is a field of consciousness, a plane of reality that coexists with our 3D plane, we can connect to that energy field through the heart chakra. And this is why places like Peru or Mount Shasta or any other highly spiritual, energetically potent places call their mystics back home—to receive soul nourishment, to receive new revelation about their divine mission, and to remind us all that life is here to be enjoyed, to be celebrated, to be cherished.

This sacred pilgrimage to Mount Shasta for my 45th birthday was everything I had dreamed it would be and more. The mountain called, and I answered—and in return, I received downloads, healing, and a deeper connection to the mystical realms that guide my work in the world.
